Art Therapy
At
The New
England Art Therapy Institute we use
visual expression, writing, dreams and metaphors for exploring personal,
family and cultural behavioral patterns that facilitate personal growth and
transformation.
The
power and speed of personal growth is dramatically increased when you engage
images from the unconscious. As you step aside and let your images come through,
the images themselves become the agents of transformation. Through creativity,
the soul instinctively heals itself. Our unique method is based on 30 years of
research and experience.
Our
work is effective in addressing a wide range of issues, such as:
-
Increasing self-esteem
-
Enhancing
relationships
-
Clarifying life
direction
-
Rejuvenating
creativity
-
Recovering from abuse
and trauma
Our
services include individual therapy, couple and family therapy, clinical
supervision and art therapy workshops.
Individual Therapy
We help children. adolescents, and adults access the healing power of their
creativity through a blend of art and verbal therapy. You don't need any
previous art experience to benefit from this process, just a willingness to
explore and express your personal symbols and metaphors. The result: revitalize
your personal life and work by using transformational art to access your
creativity.
Couples and Family
Therapy
We help couples and families address situations that have eroded healthy
communication patterns necessary for success during difficult life transitions.
Family dynamics are recognized and creative solutions are found to deal with
challenges and opportunities. We provide an environment to establish healthy
dialogue.
Clinical Art
Therapy Supervision
We offer supervision for people who are working towards art therapy registration
or who want to include art as a therapeutic modality in their work with groups
or individuals in social service, medical, or educational settings. Expand your
skills to include transformational art in your work - you and your work will be
revitalized!
Art Therapy
Workshops
We have developed many workshops and offer them to groups of professionals
who want to tap into the power of the expressive arts.
