Guiding Principles and Methods
The Center for Creative
Consciousness was born out of a
passion
for helping individuals and
organizations discover a renewed sense of integrity, authenticity and
effectiveness by harnessing their creative power. That passion continues
to be the basis of our guiding principles and methods.
Our work is founded on the
premise that every individual has the innate capacity to create. We define
creativity in a broad way. We believe is the gift that empowers us to make
choices. Our power to make choices enables us to shape our life, work and,
ultimately, our communities and our world.
A hallmark of our work is
developing supportive, collaborative, and challenging learning environments,
conducive to exploration and discovery. We do this with a commitment to
compassion, integrity and respect for each individual and the learning process.
Our methods at the Center are
based on the principles of innovation and creativity. Using an approach designed
by
Dale Schwarz,
we help our clients discover symbols and metaphors to readily identify and
surface significant issues that are not easily articulated through language
alone. We help clients expand their ways of knowing and tap into their innate
wisdom, through visual expression and reflective writing.
The basis for our proven approach to decision making
and change is
Guillermo
Cuellar’s work - the
Life Learning
ModelTM
-
which we integrate into our
workshops, coaching sessions and consultations.
We support each individual’s
ability to go beyond short-term superficial approaches to make fundamental
changes that are sustainable over time. We welcome clients who are prepared to
look deeply at their current patterns and make substantial changes to fulfill
their purpose and vision.
We customize our programs and
services to address the unique needs and challenges of individuals and
organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
